A-Z of Wellbeing helps us to discover the language of wellbeing, so that we can speak it, live it, and share it with others.
A-Z of Wellbeing is an accessible introduction to help you attend to your own wellbeing and live out your own alphabet of peace. It presents twenty-six words of wellness to help you discover new practices, connect with God, and share wellbeing with others.
Each topic includes:
- Connect the word to a biblical theme
- Learn a new habit to practise
- Get active sharing the habit with others
- Take Notice of a personal story
- Give back with questions and further resources
By sharing the words that were helpful in her own journey of recovery from breakdown, Ruth Rice gently encourages us to find our own toolkit of words and habits that will help us maintain our own wellbeing.
‘At a time when an understanding of wellbeing has arguably never been more important, Ruth's latest book is both honest and accessible, and helps us reflect on our own wellbeing and those things which can help to foster it.’ Jeannie Kendall, tutor in Pastoral Supervision at Spurgeon’s College and author of Finding Our Voice and Held in Your Bottle
‘Ruth’s A–Z of Wellbeing is a treasury of thoughtful, practical and insightful perspectives on finding peace and wholeness. She is good at connecting with people, learning from experience, responding actively to the call to get involved, and taking notice of how things work (or don’t) in practice. In this book, she has given us prayers, resources, poems, wisdom and much, much more. Ruth has grappled creatively with what it means to find wellbeing even (and especially) when life has been hard, and what she has learned is distilled and made accessible for all of us in the pages of this book.’ Revd Professor Christopher C.H. Cook
‘Ruth has written the book we have all been waiting for – practical, wise and full of insight, it really is a wellbeing handbook for daily life. Perfect for all of us living in these busy and challenging times, I highly recommend it.’ Cathy Madavan, writer, speaker and author of Digging for Diamonds
