Wildfire What must it have been like for the disciples facing life after Jesus went back up to heaven? Clearly they knew their message would be no more popular, either with the religious or the political leaders, than it had been when Jesus was preaching it. How did they cope? What sources of strength could they draw on? And does any of it have any relevance at all to us today, living in the twenty-first century and facing its many challenges? We know that it does, because God is the same yesterday, today and forever. As we work our way through the book of Acts, we will grasp that whatever He has done for others in the past, we can ask Him to do for us today. Whatever He has revealed Himself to be, that is what He is now. With Jeff as our guide, we can see how the God of the Acts of the Apostles is the God who works in and through His Church us now.
