Más allá de mi lista de oración (Beyond My Prayer List)

Nuestras oraciones a menudo se vuelven repetitivas y rutinarias, como un camino bien gastado que recorremos casi sin pensar. Esto también suele ir acompañado del profundo deseo de orar de otra manera, de orar por asuntos que tienen trascendencia eterna, pero sin saber cómo ni por dónde empezar. De ahí la idea de «Más allá de mi lista de oración». En sus cartas, el apóstol Pablo nos muestra el camino en esa dirección. Al leer cómo oró por los creyentes, ya fuera por las iglesias que conoció o por aquellos con quienes tuvo algún tipo de relación, entendemos que es posible orar de una manera diferente. Podemos orar por aquellas cosas que nos llevarán a una mejor comprensión de quién es Dios, nuestra posición en Cristo y nuestro caminar como discípulos. Our prayers often become repetitive, routine, like a well-worn path that we travel almost without thinking. This is also usually accompanied by the deep desire to pray in another way, to pray for matters that have eternal transcendence; but without knowing how or where to start. Hence the idea of «Beyond My Prayer List». In his letters, the Apostle Paul shows us the way in that direction. By reading how he prayed for believers, whether outside the churches he met or those with whom he had some kind of relationship, we understand that it is possible to pray in a different way. We can pray for those things that will lead us to a better understanding of who God is, our position in Christ, and our walk as disciples.
