Letting Photos Speak

Contemplative photography is a form of visio divina (‘divine seeing’), in which people are invited to look at images with ‘the eyes of their heart’ (Ephesians 1:18). Like lectio divina, it encourages people to slow down and pause, in order to appreciate their photos more fully. Letting Photos Speak is a step-by-step introduction to visio divina that will help readers apply the process to selections from their own photos, and to create their own ‘Book of Hours’ – a personal visual prayer book.
