In the A.B. Simpson book, A Larger Christian Life, A.B. Simpson uses his innovative and visionary style to explain that the Christian Life is a larger experience than simply saying yes to following Christ. It involves action and commitment. The larger part is a large part of the life you live after your taking on His cloak of salvation. A.B. Simpson goes on to explain that it involves active prayer, walking by faith, commitment to action, death to self, continual spiritual growth, working in community and missions, tithing and expanding your spiritual horizons and using those gifts God has given the individual to His glory and expanding the kingdom. These sermons in this book are the ones that led to the formation of the Prayer Alliance which led to fundamentally solidify and expand the Christian Alliance into a movement that in one year grew to over 100 missionaries and was able to sustain and support their transportation and support. This grew to supporting over 350 missionaries in just seven years which greatly added to A.B. Simpson's global Missionary Alliance vision. The biography of A.B. Simpson: A.B. Simpson was born in 1843. A.B. Simpson was a major figure in American evangelicalism at the close of the 19th century, he founded the Christian and Missionary Alliance, established a publishing house, edited a weekly magazine, wrote over a hundred books, eighty volumes of sermons and literature, pastored multiple churches, launched social programs and ministries, founded a college and penned dozens of hymns and gospel songs. A.B. Simpson died in 1919 leaving a legacy that has extended around the world leaving ministries that touched millions of lives and globally impacted their theology and missions.
