FaithWeaver Friends Leader Guide Spring 2017

Leader Guides provide all small group leaders with background about the Bible Point as well as questions they can use in each Discovery Center to help kids apply the Bible Point to their daily lives. Each week you’ll find information in this guide that will make your job easier and will also help you grow in your own skills and in your relationship with Jesus. You’ll notice a “Bible Background for Leader Enrichment” for each Bible account. Read this deeper insight into what kids will be learning, and take time to reflect on how you can weave this into your own life. The “Leading Kids in Journaling” section provides a quick reminder of the things Circle leaders will do with kids each week in their small groups. Then you’ll find all the questions for the Discovery Centers, plus bonus questions to discuss as time allows. Having these questions on hand lets Circle leaders guide children in discussion at their own pace—and lets those of you who are Discovery Center leaders focus on the activity instead of rounding kids up for discussion. In addition you’ll find tips on how to connect with kids and show them you care. Give these tips a try, and go slowly. It may take time for children to open up and let you into their world. But it’s worth the effort, as you’ll be leading children to the one thing that matters most—a relationship with Jesus. Order 1 for each leader.
