How can we define the word? What can we learn from the example that other followers of Jesus have left us in the Bible? What does discipleship look like in our everyday lives? In the ‘Hot Potato’ sections this time, we look at: Humour, Role Models and Celebration. In ‘Humour’ we consider what it is for and how Jesus used humour in the form of jokes, parody, irony, and puns to get His message across. ‘Role Models’ encourages us to ask key questions. Who is influencing us? Is it for good or bad in our lives? Who should we imitate? How can we positively influence others? And finally in ‘Celebration’ we think about how we can keep God at the centre of every occasion ... and we look forward to the ultimate party when Jesus returns!
