Praying the Passion

The perfect daily companion for the Lenten season, this little book is a comprehensive narrative of the Passion using details and aspects of all four accounts. Mark’s account is used as a base, and details unique to the other three Gospels are interwoven to produce a ‘composite Passion.’ This larger, fuller account of the Passion is used as a springboard for meditation and prayer. For each day of Lent, there is one reading from the Passion on the left-hand page and one meditation on the right-hand page. The book contains three appendices: one of explanatory notes; one that describes a Passover Seder; and one with a suggested use of selections from the material within the congregation during Holy Week.
