In a remarkable way they combined commitment, learning and orthodoxy. In this book, Martin Luther and John Calvin received most of Godfrey’s attention, but he also treats Philip Melancthon, Peter Martyr Vermigli, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Canons of Dort.
