Authors
Brought up on the Isle of Man, Ian Rayner had a neglected and painful childhood. In an effort to escape from various difficult family situations, he spent more and more time on the streets. By the age of thirteen, he had experimented with alcohol, glue sniffing and pot, and had served six weeks in a detention centre for burglary. It was a comparatively short step to full addiction and longer prison sentences. Within ten years, Ian had become a beggar on the streets of Leeds, staying in a squalid bed-sit and living only for the next fix. This is his story of hope and redemption.
