In the Hip Hop culture, Jesus Christ is often reduced to a fashion accessory, an occasional song topic or a popular tattoo choice.

He's so much more! 

And while millions of people worldwide identify themselves as part of the Hip Hop culture, far too few people in the culture know much about the Jesus that adorns their necklaces, or the cross that is tattooed on their shoulders. Making matters worse, what they do know is often unbiblical and comes from unreliable sources. Worse still, far too little has been done to communicate the gospel to the Hip Hop generation. 

Being involved in high school campus and community outreach, as well as juvenile prison ministry, this is something author Chris Lassiter sees daily. You're Grounded is an introductory book to the person of Jesus Christ and the Christian life aimed specifically at the Hip Hop influenced generation.
